Luke Bateman, Patrick Mago and Tevita Pangai Junior were today selected for the Junior Kangaroos train-on squad for the upcoming Junior Test (Under 20's) against New Zealand.

The trio all starred for the Raiders in their brief time in the Holden Cup this year however they have spent most of the season in the VB NSW Cup with Mounties (Pangai Junior) and in the Intrust Super Cup with Souths Logan (Bateman and Mago) to further their development.

Bateman and Mago were also prominent members of the Queensland Under 20's Origin side which played earlier this year whilst Pangai Junior has previously represented the NSW Blues at the Under 18's level.

It is the second successive year that Mago has been selected for the Junior Kangaroos with the promising back-rower gaining Man of the Match honours in last year's game against the Kiwis.

The match will be played on Saturday, October 18 at Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland.

Each week, players will be added to the squad as teams are eliminated from the Holden Cup Finals series.

A final squad will be announced following the Holden Cup Grand Final on October 5.
