The Canberra Raiders NSW Cup side claimed an impressive victory over the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, while the Jersey Flegg suffered their second defeat of the season away from home against Manly. 

NSW Cup 

The NSW Cup side travelled to 4 Pines Park on Saturday afternoon and claimed a comfortable 42-22 victory, moving them to third on the ladder. 

A fast start ensured the Raiders were in control of the contest from the outset with four tries in the opening stanza establishing a strong lead. 

Simi Sasagi was impressive for the Green Machine with two tries in the opening twenty minutes, while Jed Stuart also crossed for a double. 

The Raiders will have the opportunity to rest and recuperate with the NSW Cup side having the bye this weekend. 

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Jersey Flegg side suffered defeat for the second time this season after a 24-16 loss against the Manly Sea Eagles. 

In a tight contest, the Raiders were always in the matchup trailing by two points with fifteen minutes remaining, a try to Manly lock Caleb Navale ensured victory for the Sea Eagles. 

Owen Pattie continued his stellar form this season claiming the first try of the contest. 

The Jersey Flegg side face an exciting week ahead with an away game in Fiji against the Silktails.
