The Canberra Raiders have received some positive news in relation to the cheekbone injury sustained by winger Jordan Rapana.

Rapana suffered a high shot in the 15th minute of the win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs, however finished the game with the aid of a head gear.

Following the game, Rapana had scans on Tuesday before seeing a specialist today.

The specialist was happy with the results of the scans and has said that the fracture to Rapana’s cheekbone is stable and not depressed.

A depressed fracture would result in Rapana being sidelined for 6-8 weeks.

Rapana’s injury will be reviewed again next Tuesday but at this stage he will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks.
