Raiders junior Nic Cotric has been rewarded for his outstanding season in the SG Ball Cup with selection in a 29-man NSW Under 18's representative squad for their annual interstate clash against Queensland as the curtain-raiser to Origin II on Wednesday 17 June at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Cotric is an extremely promising outside back who was the second highest try scorer in the SG Ball this year. Despite playing the majority of the season at centre, Cotric is also adept at playing fullback and wing.
The Valley Dragons junior has previously represented Australian Under 15's, NSW Under 16's as well as numerous ACT representative sides.
"This side is extremely strong and very experienced," said NSWRL Performance Programmes Manager Jamie Feeney. "Ten of the players are playing Under-20s in the Holden Cup this year and are exceptionally-talented players."
Coached by Payten, the final team will be named this weekend featuring the best up-and-coming players developing through the young ranks in NSW Rugby League.
