The Canberra Raiders will farewell David Shillington at the end of the 2015 season, after he announced a two year deal with the Gold Coast Titans from the beginning of 2016.
Shillington joined the Raiders at the beginning of the 2009 season and has played over 100 matches for the Raiders, representing both Queensland and Australia during his time at the club.
In 2010 during his second season at the club, Shillington was awarded the prestigious Meninga Medal for the clubs best and fairest player and has constantly performed at the highest level for the club in his time in green.
“I am very grateful to the Raiders coaches and management for the opportunity to develop into the player I am and while I’m excited about the future, I’m very much committed to the Raiders for the remainder of 2015,” Shillington said.
The club is looking forward to seeing David continue his strong form for the Raiders for the rest of the 2015 season and hopefully help the Raiders into the finals.
Shillington will finish his career with the Raiders at the end of the 2015 season and the club will recognise his services to the club at the end of the season.
