Pre-season training officially begins today and 2016 promises to be an exciting season for the Raiders. New recruits Aidan Sezer, Elliott Whitehead and Adam Clydsdale will be looking to form exciting new combinations with the likes of established stars Blake Austin, Jarrod Croker, Josh Papalii and Jack Wighton.
The Raiders exciting brand of football captivated the NRL community in 2015 and under Coach Ricky Stuart, the Green Machine will be looking to fight their way back into the top eight and finals football in 2016.
The Raiders surpassed 10,000 members in 2015 and have set themselves an ambitious target of 15,000 Club Members in 2016. Raiders CEO Don Furner said members are vitally important as the club embarked on a new season campaign.
‘’Membership is the best way of showing that you do more than support the club, that you’re actually not just a fan, you’re a member,” Furner said. “We would love to have 15,000 members which rank us with some of the best Sydney clubs.
“There are over 350,000 people in the Capital Region with nearly 40% of them indicating their interest in the Raiders, or at least keeping an eye on our results and following us. We really need to convert more to our membership and through not only our pricing benefit but also enhanced engagement and reward program we are confident we can do this.”
