Woodbridge said the players have been showing the same competitive edge in the gym as they have on the training paddock.

“I’ve been really impressed by the way in which the players have committed themselves in the gym this pre-season. They’ve really been pushing each other hard and the results speak volumes for the work they’re putting in” Woodbridge said.

“There’s a balance between working hard and enjoying what you do, so while the effort has been outstanding the attitude has been as equally impressive. The players are having fun while they are in the gym which is very important.”

“We’ve now got a group of players who have been training together for a few seasons so they’re looking to push themselves to the limit and see what they can achieve. I’m really encouraged by what we’re seeing here on a daily basis and the player feedback to our program has been positive.”
