Canberra Raiders centre Joey Leilua will head to the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night, pleading not guilty a grade one contrary conduct charge he received against the Roosters on Saturday at GIO Stadium.
Leilua has pleaded guilty to a grade one dangerous throw and will miss two weeks, with 70 carryover points added to the base penalty of 131 points for the charge. This means he will miss two weeks of football.
If Leilua is successful in his case to have his contrary conduct charge dropped he will escape any further penalty. If he is found guilty he will miss an extra week.
