Every try and point scored at GIO Stadium by the Raiders has a bigger impact than just what is displayed on the scoreboard.

The Raiders support for the 'Homes for Homes' fundraising intiative means that $400 from every try and $200 from every goal scored by the Raiders at GIO Stadium goes directly to Home for Homes.

$20,900 has currently been raised from the Raiders first seven homes games, with the potential for that total to easily eclipse $30,000 if the Raiders continue their attacking ways in the five remaining home matches.

The Raiders commitment to Homes to Homes is via a partnership with sponsor Denman Prospect, who are currently building a new suburb in the Molonglo Valley district of Canberra.

Currently, there is a critical shortage of affordable homes and thousands of Australians are homeless each night. With the Homes for Homes initiative, 0.1% of the sale proceeds of all land sold in Denman Prospect will go to towards more affordable housing.

In addition there will be a permissive (voluntary) caveat on the title of all future sales, meaning homeowners can choose to donate a tax deductible 0.1% of their property price to Homes for Homes at the time they sell. For example, a $500,000 property transaction would mean a $500 contribution. This fantastic scheme means that Denman Prospect and its community will forever be part of the solution to reduce homelessness.
