Team of the Week: Round 20
Three golden Raiders, three terrific Tigers, a Panthers milestone man and a Titans mid-season recruit headline NRL.com's Team of the Week for Round 20.
1. Ben Barba (Sharks)
The Sharks fullback scored two tries, had another two disallowed (through no fault of his own) and set up two more four-pointers in his side's 36-4 demolition of the cellar-dwelling Knights.
2. David Nofoaluma (Wests Tigers)
Nofoaluma scored the Tigers' first try in their 13-point win over the Dragons and went on to have his best game of the season.
3. Jarrod Croker (Raiders)
The Raiders captain brilliantly set up one try and scored a hat-trick himself in his side's 26-22 golden point victory over the Warriors.
4. Konrad Hurrell (Titans)
A try, a try assist and eight tackle breaks – life is certainly treating Titans mid-season recruit Hurrell well following his starring role against the Eels.
5. Jordan Rapana (Raiders)
Rapana made a whopping 11 tackle breaks and set up teammate Joey Leilua's crucial late try in the Raiders' win.
6. Mitchell Moses (Wests Tigers)
Moses took the Tigers' game against the Red V by the scruff of the neck and made it his own with a try assist and two line breaks.
7. Johnathan Thurston (Cowboys)
Thurston only lasted until just past half-time in North Queensland's 36-0 win over the Bulldogs, but Cowboys already had the win in the bag by then off the back of his pinpoint kicking game.
8. Leilani Latu (Panthers)
The Panthers prop produced two try assists in his side's 31-12 domination of the Broncos in Brisbane.
9. Cameron Smith (Storm)
Smith was at his scheming best with two try assists in the Storm's 26-10 win over the Roosters.
10. Aaron Woods (Wests Tigers)
The Tigers skipper produced 183 metres and 35 tackles was a timely boost for his side's fleeting finals chances.
11. Kevin Proctor (Storm)
Proctor again proved why he's one of the best-rounded back-rowers in the game, posting a try and 36 tackles against the Roosters.
12. Josh Papalii (Raiders)
The dominating back-rower added a few notches on his belt by assisting in two of the Raiders' tries against the Warriors.
13. Trent Merrin (Panthers, captain)
Merrin made 227 metres, four tackle breaks and scored a late try in his 150th NRL game.
14. Nathan Cleary (Panthers)
The young halfback steered the ship and ensured the Panthers stuck to their game plan in upsetting the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
15. Jason Taumalolo (Cowboys)
The barnstorming Cowboys lock dominated the Dogs with a double century of metres on Thursday night.
16. Boyd Cordner (Roosters)
Cordner continued his run of being the Roosters' best by racking up 177 metres and 37 tackles against the Storm.
17. Chris McQueen (Titans)
McQueen scored twice in the Titans' 20-point win over a weakened Parramatta outfit.
