Competition - NRL Telstra Premiership

Teams - Canberra Raiders v Cronulla Sharks

Date – 17th or April 2016

Venue – GIO Stadium, Canberra ACT

Photographer – Grant Trouville

Description -

A lot has changed since Round 7 when the Raiders last met the Sharks. The Sharks dominated the proceedings back then as they piled on 40 points against a frail Raiders defence.

Ben Barba scored two tries in a powerful performance from the current ladder-leaders who will come into Saturday's game against the green machine as heavy favourites.

Watch highlights from the Round 7 encounter in the video above.

Defence has been one of the Raiders biggest areas of improvement in recent times, and it will need to be strong on Saturday to quell the potent Sharks backline that includes Barba, Valentine Holmes, Sosaia Feki and Jack Bird.

It's worth noting the Raiders were missing Blake Austin and Sia Soliola through injury for the Round 7 match, while Junior Paulo had yet to arrive at the club.

With both sides sitting in top four on the ladder, all signs are pointing to a blockbuster clash on Saturday at 5.30pm. Make sure you head up to Southern Cross Stadium in Cronulla to support the Raiders in their quest to break the Sharks undefeated streak!
