After the announcement of the Raiders 2017 draw yesterday, it's time to start looking ahead at some of the huge games we will be playing in the new season.

Here's five Raiders games we can't wait for in 2017.

Round 2 - Raiders v Sharks at GIO Stadium

This one is a no-brainer.

The Sharks grabbed a late victory over the Raiders in this year's qualifying final, and the Raiders get an early chance to take revenge in Round Two at home.

Both teams have extremely passionate fanbases, which is going to make the atmosphere inside GIO Stadium electric, especially as the rivalry between the two teams continues to grow.

If you're a Raiders fan, whatever you do, don't miss out on coming to this game.

Round 4 - Raiders v Broncos at Suncorp Stadium

A short turnaround and a prime timeslot against the Broncos makes this a huge early season game for the Green Machine.

The Raiders and Broncos both have extremely tough starts to the season, and coming away from this match with the two points will be crucial.

Taking on a full-strength Broncos outfit will also be a great test of the Origin credentials of a few of the Raiders players.

Round 12 - Raiders v Roosters at GIO Stadium

After five home games in the first eight matches, the Raiders then embark on a block of five awaygames in six matches.

The clash against the Roosters in Round 12 breaks up the block of away games, and is perfectly placed on a Sunday afternoon.

Both teams will possibly be without representative stars, as the match falls a few days before the first Origin.

Round 19 - Raiders v Dragons at GIO Stadium

The Raiders emerged from the second bye in 2016 with a full head of steam, which was crucial in an eventual charge to second place on the ladder.

In 2017, the Round 19 match against the Dragons falls after the second bye, and will be crucial in the Raiders run home to securing a finals spot.

Round 26 - Raiders v Storm at AAMI Park

How about this for a regular season finale?!

The Raiders host the Storm in Round 20, before travelling south to AAMI Park to take on the 2016 Grand Finalists in Round 26.

Like in 2016 when the Storm and Sharks met in the final round to decide the minor premiership, this match could have huge implications for the finals.

While it's a long way away, if 2016 is anything to go by, expect another intense match between the Raiders and Storm.
