After he celebrated early before scoring his first ever NRL try against the Tigers, Nick Cotric said he would wait until after he put the ball down before celebrating next time.

That didn't quite happen on Saturday.

After the Eels ripped off two quick tries to cut the Raiders lead to four points heading into the final stages of the match, the Raiders needed somebody to step up and swing the momentum back in their favour.

Nick Cotric was that man, ducking into dummyhalf and taking it upon himself to test the Eels line.

Spotting space on the right with Beau Scott struggling in back play, Cotric danced across the line and brushed away Kaysa Pritchard to zoom into open space.

Eels fullback Bevan French didn't get close to stopping Cotric, who stepped off his right foot and dived across right next to the posts for the match-sealing try.

Watch Cotric's super try which is our choice for the Denman Prospect Play of the Week in the video above.
