Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders Tarsha Gale Cup side performed strongly in their semi-final against the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday, showing plenty of fight early before the Sharks proved too strong late in the match. The result eliminates the Raiders from the inaugural Tarsha Gale Cup finals series.

Cronulla Sharks 30 (Dodd 3, Preston 2, Beames; Kelly 1, Preston 2) defeated Canberra Raiders 12 (Ngan-Woo, Fraser, Bullock)

Harold Matthews Cup

The Raiders Harold Matthew Cup side shocked the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday to move through to the preliminary finals. The Sharks had lost just one game during the regular season and took an early 18-6 lead over the Raiders midway through the first half. An inspired comeback followed, with the Raiders showing that they are hitting top form at the perfect time of the season.

Waiting for the Raiders in the preliminary finals is the Newcastle Knights, who are yet to lose a game all season.

Canberra Raiders 30 (T Kelly 2, J Williams, T Croker, N Hall tries; J Tupou 5 goals) defeated Cronulla Sharks 22 (D Levi 2, K Parker, D Smith tries; T Demeio 3 goals)
