The Raiders defensive effort highlighted the stat sheet this week, with the Green Machine winning 26-10 over the Bulldogs.

The Raiders shared only 44% or the possession across the 80 minutes, with the Bulldogs having 56% of the ball.

Despite missing 36 tackles the Raiders were able to defend the line when it mattered and made 316 tackles during the match compared to the Bulldogs 294.

It was a remarkable performance from the team especially considering they were down to one player on the bench for the last 25 minutes of play.

The Raiders had the better of completion rates with 28/35 complete sets for 80%, while the bulldogs completed 27/37 for 73%.

The Raiders conceded 10 penalties to the Bulldogs 8, while the Raiders made 11 errors and the Bulldogs 10.

Aidan Sezer’s kicking game was on song last night as he kicked for 315 m from 14 kicks, including three which led to Raiders tries.

In defence it was Luke Bateman who led the way for the Raiders with 42 tackles and only one missed tackle, while Siliva Havili made 40 tackles in a 78-minute performance.

Dunamis Lui made the most metres for the Raiders with 162m from 14 carries, while Junior Paulo 153m from his 12 runs.

In his first game as starting fullback Nick Cotric ran for 143m from 14 runs.
