Centre Joey Leilua has played a starring role for the Raiders in their back to back wins over the Bulldogs and Eels.

He scored two tries against the Bulldogs followed up by a try assist in the win over Parramatta.

Leilua admits that the forwards are the ones that deserve the credit for the performance of the outside backs.

“Jordan and I just pull of those plays because of the work the forwards do and they don’t get enough credit for our team and you see all the spark from the outside backs but its usually the forwards that get us on the front foot and we just do what we usually do because of our instincts” Leilua said.

The forwards put in an outstanding performance keeping a strong middle against the Eels keeping them try-less in the 80 minutes.

The Raiders middle forwards will be tested by the return of Sam Burgess for the Rabbitohs and will be looking to shape up strongly against him.

“I haven’t watched their games at all but with him playing it is going to be a big task for our forwards to match up against him. He’s their go forward and their leader so our boys have got to step up to the plate and get in front of him.”
