Round 8: The Final Word

Canberra Raiders Coach Ricky Stuart has previewed tomorrow night's clash against the North Queensland Cowboys at 1300SMILES Stadium.

The Raiders will be faced with hot and humid conditions up in Townsville however the Raiders Coach has praised the way his team have prepared for the match.

"We've been working on little things in training this week in terms of what we've been wearing and how we have approached our dietary and hydration but at the end of the day we are going to have to be tough and handle it ourselves," Stuart said.

The former Raiders halfback isn't too concerned about the green machine's recent record up in Townsville.

"I think we have been unlucky to not the win the last few games against the Cowboys up there." JT (Jonathan Thurston) has that knack of coming back and putting the team on his back and carrying them over the line."

"They have been very tight games and we haven't been able to pull one out of the bag. This week will be an opportunity to do that."
