Match Day Charity – Tara Costigan Foundation

Match day charity the Tara Costigan Foundation will have volunteers positioned on both forecourts collecting donations for this worthwhile cause and raising awareness for violence against women, men and children. They will also have balloon sculpting, face painting, colouring in and their angel mascots will be wandering around the grounds. A representative from the charity will speak with Ben and Cam on-field pre-game.

Women in League Round

The NRL is celebrating the contribution that females make to the game this weekend with their annual Women in League round.

The Raiders will wear their specially designed Women in League Jersey which carries the club Valkyrie Logo. These jerseys will be auctioned off later in the year to raise money for the development of rugby league across the Capital region

The club will have a group of female members lining the tunnel for when the players run on Sunday afternoon, with Raiders female development players to receive a special gift from the team when they take the field.

There will also be a special Ladies Lane in the West Forecourt of GIO Stadium, with local businesses providing samples, vouchers, demonstrations and freebies for attending patrons.

Viking Clap

Our Viking Ambassador this week is NSW State of Origin Captain Maddie Studdon. Maddie led the Blues to a win in the inaugural State of Origin Women's match earlier this year. She has also represented Australia through the Jillaroos.

Members are encouraged to visit the West Members Lounge pre-game, where the pre-match activities will occur this week.

Austbrokers Canberra Half-Time Cash Competition

Each week for the first 10 home games, 100 green Austbrokers Canberra/ Raiders T-Shirts will be distributed at random around the ground.

At the pre-game show 20 minutes before kick-off, 6 lucky attendees wearing their Austbrokers Canberra/ Raiders green shirt will be picked from the crowd.

The 6 chosen participants will take place in a non-physical half-time challenge on-field until one person remains.

The remaining participant will then select 1 football out of a total of 30 numbered balls on the field. This number is then cross-referenced with the winning cash amount card to determine how much the participant wins.

Sunday is the last Half-Time cash giveaway of 2018.

Pre/Half-Time Entertainment

Gates open at 11.45am this week with a 2.00pm NRL Kick-Off

The first match of the day will be the ISP between Mounties and Magpies at 11.45am.

Check out the Canberra High School Band performing in the West Forecourt

There will be mini-footy pre-game this week thanks to Huawei.

Pre-Game BjP Physical Culture will perform as one of our local dance performances.

Cam and Ben will be on-field pre-game with an interview with Viking Ambassador Maddie Studdon and will bring you all the latest team news ahead of the NRL match thanks to Channel Nine Canberra.

Coca-Cola 'Sing to Win' is also back for another week. Be in your seat pre-game to enter the Coca-Cola Sing to Win promotion, where all you have to do is hold a Coca-Cola product like a microphone and sing along to the song booming around the Stadium. The winner receives a $250 Raiders Shop voucher.

We will have the Viking Horn Ceremony pre-game with our Viking Ambassador Maddie Studdon before we roll into the Viking Clap.

This season fans at GIO Stadium will have the opportunity to vote for the man of the match each week.

Keep an eye out on the big screen on match day and you can vote and possibly win a $300 voucher from Goodyear Autocare Phillip!

Post-Match Canberra Milk Footys

Each home game in 2018 local players from the Canberra Region Rugby League will meet Raiders NRL players post-match on the field of play.

They will present each player with two Canberra Milk mini-footys which the player will sign. One footy goes to the junior player and one will be thrown into the crowd by the Raiders player to thank members and fans for their attendance.

There will be three merchandise outlets at GIO Stadium on Saturday, full of the latest Raiders merchandise to show your support for the team! The outlets are located in the East and West forecourts, and also in the Southern Inner Bowl.

Public transport will be the best and easiest option to travel to and from GIO Stadium on Gameday.

Parking

There are 2 main entry points for the Stadium. Public car parking is available at a number of locations around GIO Stadium Canberra's precinct.

Car parking is available at a cost of $10.00 (GST incl) per car however fans can take advantage of the new 'Early Bird Parking Offer'.

Fans who get in early and arrive within the first 45 minutes after the gates have opened on match days will pay a reduced parking fee of $7.

If you can't make it to GIO Stadium there are options available.
The NRL match is live on Fox League Channel 502.
There is also the NRL Digital Pass available to watch the match.
