Huawei ensures Guler gets his jersey

When Canberra Raiders Major Sponsor Huawei found out Emre Guler would make his NRL debut this season during the #AutismWellbeing round, they took it upon themselves to make sure they were the highest bidder in the post-match jersey auction to ensure Guler got his first NRL jersey.

The jerseys from the special day against the Roosters were auctioned off through www.allbids.com.au to raise money for the Ricky Stuart Foundation with all 17 match worn jerseys available for auction.

With Emre's jersey amongst the 17, Huawei decided they'd bid top dollar to purchase Emre's jersey, so they could make sure he got to keep his first ever NRL jumper.

At Wednesday's nights Meninga Medal Presentation evening Emre was finally reunited with his jersey, with Jeremy Mitchell and Lisa Connors from Huawei on hand to present him his jersey.

"It's awesome to get the jersey I played my first game in and to be able to keep it is unreal," Guler said. "I knew my family was keen to buy it in the auction, so thankfully Huawei contacted them and told them they were going to get it for me."
