Ata joined the Raiders right before the beginning of the 2018 season after he was granted a release from the New Zealand Warriors.

The play-maker has had to play several positions in 2018 with various injuries to his Raiders teammates during matches.

Hingano settled into the squad quickly and did well to git into the side when called upon by coach Ricky Stuart.

Unfortunately for Hingano his season was cut short after he sustained an ankle injury in Tonga's win over Samoa in the Pacific Test midway through the season.
