New signing Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is determined to make an impression in Friday night's trial against the Parramata Eels.

Nicoll-Klokstad is focused on Friday's game and is looking forward to the challenge despite heavy competition for spots.

"There's an opportunity here but obviously there is strong competition for a spot and the only thing I can do is put my best foot forward," Nicoll-Klokstad said.

I'm really excited to run out there and play with my new teammates."

The former Warriors player has been in Canberra for less than a week, however the Cook island international admits that he's quickly falling in love with the city and training with his new teammates.

"I flew in on Friday afternoon and had my first session on the Saturday with the team."

"I love it here, I can't wait for my family to join me here and start loving the Canberra lifestyle with me."
