The Canberra Raiders have named their side for Friday night’s match against the Newcastle Knights at GIO Stadium.

Joe Tapine has been ruled out of the match this weekend with a thumb injury, which paves the way for Hudson Young to make his NRL debut off the bench for the Green Machine.

The loss of Tapine sees the versatile John Bateman move from lock to the second row, with Ryan Sutton named to start for the first time for the club at lock.
