The Queanbeyan Blues continued their winning ways with a 50 point win against the Yass Magpies.

Terry Campese’s men wasted no time in getting started as Josh Hitchins, Joel Munro and Aidan Woods all scored early tries.

The Blues continued to pile on the points as they went into the sheds with a 32-0 halftime lead.

It took Yass until the 52nd minute to get on the board and they did so when Atu Tupou found a way past the Queanbeyan defence.

However, Joel Monaghan scored a second half double to help his new side ease to victory as they amassed 10 tries for the afternoon.

The result sees the Blues remain second on the ladder while Yass remain at the bottom.

The Woden Valley Rams bounced back from consecutive defeats as they held on to claim a two point win against the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.

Chevi Ellis scored a double for the Rams as Woden took a 22-4 lead midway through the second half.

The Kangaroos surged back into contention as they quickly piled on the points as Tre Williams, Kaine Pagura, and James Ulrick all scored tries.

Harry Van Dartel successfully kick a penalty to extend Woden’s lead to converted try which proved to be the difference as the Kangaroos scored in the dying moments but were unable to add the extras.

The win sees the Rams remain fifth while the Kangaroos remain in seventh place.

The Tuggeranong Bushrangers remain at the top of the table after they claimed a 20 point win over the Gungahlin Bulls.

The Bushrangers started the match in fine form as Connor Massen opened the scoring out wide before Jayden Pollard ran the length of the field to score.

Jayden Grocott hit back for the Bulls but Tuggeranong continued on their way to victory as Josh Baker and Tristan Eldridge both scored.

Goulburn Workers Bulldogs 60 (Tries: M Atkinson 2, M Cornish 2, C Hart, H Hodge, D Rota, S Cummins, I Tittor, L Tauoqooqu, T Greenwood; Goals: C Hart 8) d Belconnen United Sharks 20 (Tries: T Aroha-Tuinauvai, M Butz, J Vejvoda, I Mataora; Goals: K Shepherdson 2)

The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs bounced back from their first defeat of the season in ideal fashion as they brushed aside the Belconnen United Sharks at Workers Arena.

However, it was the Sharks that drew the first blood as Aroha-Tuinauvai scored in the third minute.

Goulburn and Belconnen traded tries in the opening 20 minutes but Dillon Rota put the Bulldogs in front as he crawled over the line with two defenders on his back.

Holding a 26-12 lead at halftime, the Bulldogs were relentless in the second half as Mitch Cornish completed his double and young forward Mitch Atkinson also managed to score twice.

The result sees Goulburn remain in third while the Sharks sit in eighth place.
