North Queensland hooker Jake Granville is free to pursue his bid for Origin selection after being cleared of a dangerous contact charge at Tuesday night's judiciary hearing.

Granville was charged in relation to an incident involving Parramatta halfback Mitchell Moses which occurred in the third minute of the Cowboys' 17-10 defeat of the Eels on Saturday night in Townsville.

Granville pleaded not guilty and the three-man judiciary panel found in his favour.

The ruling would've been a big relief for Cowboys coach Paul Green, knowing Granville is free to play in his team's crucial round 11 clash with the Raiders on Saturday night in Canberra.

The 30-year-old Queenslander will be hoping to produce a standout performance in his head to head duel with dynamic Raiders hooker Josh Hodgson and give himself the best chance of selection in the Maroons for game one of the Origin series on June 5 at Suncorp Stadium.

Meanwhile, James Maloney's Origin hopes appear all but gone after he accepted a one-game ban for a dangerous contact charge, putting him out of his club's trip to Parramatta on Thursday night.

Get Caught Up: Round 10

He will not play again before teams are picked for the Holden State of Origin series opener.

Maloney was cleared of a dangerous contact charge in round eight after a judiciary hearing.

Warriors prop Agnatius Paasi will miss the round 11 clash with the Broncos after taking an early guilty plea for a dangerous throw on Panthers winger Brian To'o.

Mitchell Moses was also charged for grade-one dangerous contact for a 41st-minute incident involving John Asiata but escaped suspension with an early guilty plea.
