By the numbers is back this week as the Canberra Raiders held off a fast-finishing Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs to seal a 12-10 win at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.

The Raiders had slightly better possession than their opponents with 51% in total.

Dean Pay’s side conjured up 1921 running metres from 222 runs while Stuart’s troops combined for a total of 1706 metres from 183 runs.

The green machine completed 10 offloads and two line breaks in attack while the home side made eight offloads and three line breaks.

The Raiders were the busier side in defence as they made 394 tackles while making 19 missed tackles. The Bulldogs mustered up a total of 364 with 24 missed tackles.

The penalty count was split at five each while both sides also made nine errors each.

Individual statistics:

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad put in another mammoth performance for the green machine as he chalked up 296 running metres with 68 post contact metres. The fullback also contributed with one line break and five tackle breaks.

Round 12 Moment of the week

Bailey Simonsson also produced a terrific performance as he ran for 184 metres with 66 post contact metres. The young New Zealander also managed four tackle breaks.

Elliott Whitehead continued to lead the tackle count as he made 46 in total. He was followed by Siliva Havilii on 40 and Corey Horsburgh on 35.
