Blumers Lawyers CRC Round 9 Preview

After last weekend’s general bye, the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup is back with the Gungahlin Bulls taking on the Belconnen United Sharks in the Match of the Round.

Gungahlin Bulls v Belconnen United Sharks
3pm, Saturday June 15 – Gungahlin Enclosed Oval

The Match of the Round takes place in Gungahlin as the Bulls look to bounce back after last round’s loss when they face the Belconnen United Sharks.

The Bulls have claimed two wins so far this season, with both victories coming against impressive opposition in Woden and the Queanbeyan Blues. However they will hope to regain composure after a 56-4 loss to Goulburn a fortnight ago.

Belconnen United Sharks will be fired up after narrowly losing their round eight clash against the Queanbeyan Kangaroos, conceding a penalty goal late on to go down 22-21. They enter the clash with two wins from their last three outings.

Queanbeyan Blues v Woden Valley Rams
3pm, Saturday June 15 – Seiffert Oval

The Queanbeyan Blues host the Woden Valley Rams this weekend in a top four clash that both sides will be hoping to win.

The Rams head into the match with confidence after over-coming a determined West Belconnen Warriors side last round, winning the match 12-8.

West Belconnen Warriors v Yass Magpies
3pm, Saturday June 15 – Raiders Belconnen

West Belconnen Warriors will be hoping to return to winning ways when they host the Yass Magpies this weekend.

The Warriors narrowly went down in a four point loss last round to the Woden Valley Rams, while also having lost the week prior to that against the Sharks.

The Magpies had a bye last round, giving them two weeks to prepare and regain composure in the hopes of getting their second win of the season.
