The West Belconnen Warriors claimed a big win against the top of the table Bushrangers as they ran in eight tries.
Doubles to Brent Crisp and Andrew McDonald did the damage on the afternoon as the Bushrangers were comprehensively beaten by 36 points.
Jarrad Kennedy and Jayden Pollard scored the Bushrangers’ two tries for the afternoon.
Although the loss was only Tuggeranong’s second for the season, the result sees their lead at the top of the ladder remain at one point.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos 18 (Tries: J Ayers 2, T Whiley; Goals: L Ingram 3) d Goulburn Workers Bulldogs 14 (Tries: I Tittor, D Rota, S Cummins; Goals: C Hart)
Two tries to Josh Ayers has helped the Queanbeyan Kangaroos claim an 18-14 win over the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs at Seears Workwear Oval.
The Bulldogs looked to have earned themselves an early lead when Tyson Greenwood crashed over but it was disallowed due to an error in the play the ball.
From that moment on the Queanbeyan Kangaroos dominated though and continued to target Goulburn’s right edge defence. They found joy in the 12th minute when an inside ball from Tre Williams found Josh Ayers.
Queanbeyan continued to enjoy the majority of field position but Goulburn fought back in the final ten minutes of the half and scored through Izzy Tittor when he finished a sweeping backline move.
The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs took the lead for the first time in the match within three minutes of the break when Dillon Rota took advantage of some good second phase play from Nick Cornish.
It didn’t take long in the second half for the Kangaroos to take the lead as Ayers grabbed his second after in the 43rd minute.
However, Steve Cummins hit back for Goulburn two minutes later as he gathered a chip from Mitch Cornish.
The game continued to go back and forth as both sides tried to claim the initiative and Queanbeyan skipper Troy Whiley finally managed to do that when he barged over in the 68th minute.
The Kangaroos faced a nervous final ten minutes after they had a man sent off but managed to hold on for crucial win as they aim to start moving up the ladder.

The Woden Valley Rams bounced back from their Round 9 loss to the Blues with a 24-10 win against the Magpies at Walker Park.
Captain Jeff Morgan scored a double to help his side to victory as the Rams moved within one point off the top of the table.
The Magpies, on the other hand, remain at the bottom of the ladder as they chase their second win of the season.

The Blues scored six tries during the match with winger Nicholas Marshall scoring his fifth try for the season.
The Belconnen United Sharks scored two tries thanks to Joey Vejvoda and David Williams but the defeat sees them fall six points adrift of the top four.
