The Queanbeyan Blues moved up to second on the ladder, while the Tuggeranong Bushrangers won the top of the table clash.

Queanbeyan Blues 16 (Tries: J Munro, S Fetuani, M Parsons; Goals: M Parsons 2) d West Belconnen Warriors 12 (Tries: B Loughhead, B Sione; Goals: B Crisp 2)

The Queanbeyan Blues moved up to second place on the ladder after they claimed a four point win over the West Belconnen Warriors.

The Queanbeyan Blues wasted little time getting off the mark as Joel Munro darted from dummy half to score in the second minute.

From that moment on, the Queanbeyan Blues continued to dominate field position and possession but West Belconnen managed to hold on in defence.

The Warriors managed to hit back as Bailey Loughhead crashed over the line to level the scores.

With only minutes left in the first half the Warriors took an unlikely lead when Ben Sione waltzed over the line after receiving a pass from Brent Crisp.

The Blues raced out of the blocks in the second half as Sateki Fetuani scored from dummy half.

Steve McLean and Bailey Loughhead were both sent off after two props got into a fight off the ball.

However the send-offs didn’t affect Queanbeyan as Josh Stuckey poked his nose through the line before offloading to the supporting Matt Parsons who scored the match winner.

Tuggeranong Bushrangers 24 (Tries: C Massen 2, T Eldridge, D Low, J Pollard; Goals: J Mitchell 2) d Goulburn Workers Bulldogs 20 (Tries: M Cornish, N Cornish, S Cummins, P Cooke; Goals: C Hart 2)

The Tuggeranong Bushrangers remain on top of the ladder after a last gasp try from Connor Massen saw them see off the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs.

The Bushrangers started the stronger of the two sides in the top of the table clash and raced out to a 10-0 lead before Goulburn hit back through Steve Cummins.

The scores were level at the break but Tuggeranong once again hit the front as Drury Low crashed over.

Goulburn claimed the lead for the first time in the match during the second half but Jayden Pollard claimed an intercept before running the length of the field to level the scores.

With not long left in the match, Michael Brophy’s towering kick found Connor Massen who gathered the ball and scored to seal the Bushrangers the win.

Queanbeyan Kangaroos 10 (Tries: K Pagura, F Tonga; Goal: T Williams) d Yass Magpies 0

The Queanbeyan Kangaroos claimed their fourth win from five matches as they claimed a narrow win against the Yass Magpies.

The match was a low scoring affair and it wasn’t until late in the first half when the Kangaroos scored courtesy of Kaine Pagura.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first before Fonua Tonga sealed the win near the death with a try in the eastern corner of the ground.

The result sees the Kangaroos move within one point off the top four while the Magpies remain at the bottom of the ladder.

Woden Valley Rams 48 (Tries: L Ellis 3, C Hodge 2, L Johnson, S Henderson, J Taws, L Murphy; Goals: L Withers 4, B Robertson 2) d Gungahlin Bulls 10 (Tries: R Cronin, S Lomax; Goal: B Robinson)

A hattrick to Chevi Ellis helped the Woden Valley Rams claim a big win over the Gungahlin Bulls on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulls started brightly and had a try when Ryan Cronin latched on to a Jake Scholes grubber.

The Rams hit back to level the scores in the 16th minute before quick tries saw them hold a 16-4 lead at the break.

Cody Hodge also scored a double for the Rams to help the defending premiers leapfrogged Goulburn to finish the round in third place.
