By the numbers: Raiders v Eels

It was a night to forget for the green machine as the Parramatta Eels came from behind to defeat the Canberra Raiders 22-16 at Tio Stadium in Darwin.

Possession was almost evenly split between the two sides with the Eels coming out on top with 51%.

Ricky Stuart’s side completed 28/41 of their sets for a completion rate of 68% while Brad Arthur’s side completed 30/42 of their sets for a rate of 71%.

Canberra made 193 runs with a total of 1752 running metres. Parramatta made more runs with 201, however, they could only make 1592 running metres.

In attack, the Raiders made eight offloads and five linebreaks while the Eels made seven offloads and four linebreaks.

In defence, Parramatta were the busier side as they made a total of 352 compared to Canberra’s 342. The home side also made more missed tackles with 38 compared to their opponents 36.

The Raiders conceded seven penalties compared to the Eels who made five. Both sides were evenly split on errors with 13 each.

Individual statistics:

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad put in another outstanding individual performance as he made five tackles, one line break, scored one try and ran for 290 metres with 57 post contact metres. Bailey Simonsson was the next best in the metres made with 150 followed by Josh Papalii and Jordan Rapana who made 142 and 141 respectively.

Round 15 play of the week: CNK's try

Josh Hodgson made the most tackles for the Raiders with 47. He was followed by Josh Papalii and John Bateman who made 36 and 35 respectively.
