Adam Cook

The Canberra Raiders Jersey Flegg side began pre-season training last week as they look to go one step further in 2020.

The Raiders were narrowly defeated by South Sydney in last year’s Grand Final but six players who played in that match have been named in the 2020 squad.

Other members of that squad have been rewarded for their performances with Harley Smith-Shields and Semi Valemei added to the Raiders NRL Squad. Darby Medlyn, Jarrett Subloo and Kai O’Donnell have also been rewarded with Development Contracts.

Matt Timoko and Duwanye Mariner have been given an opportunity to train and trial with the NRL squad for the entire pre-season but will be with the Jersey Flegg side.

Adam Cook, Lachlan Lewis, Jordan Martin, Leo Thompson, Sila Titiuti and Trey Mooney will train with the NRL side before Christmas.

The Jersey Flegg Training Squad has a mix of contracted and train and trial players. The squad will be reduced and finalised prior to the start of the 2020 season.
