Junior Reps Round 2 Wrap

It was a successful weekend for the Canberra Raiders Junior Representative sides as all three teams claimed wins.

S.G. Ball Cup

A hattrick to Jack Williams helped the Canberra Raiders to  36-28 win as they hosted the New Zealand Warriors on Sunday.

The Warriors, who were playing their second game since joining the competition, managed to take a lead at halftime but Williams sealed the result for the Raiders.

Connor Williams, Ethan Foster, Junior Tupou and Kane Smith were also amongst the try scorers.

The result sees the Raiders start the season with two wins from two.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders have already equaled their number of wins from the 2019 season after a convincing 40-6 victory over the Penrith Panthers.

Krystal Blackwell scored a hattrick during the match as the Raiders secured back to back wins.

Carly Wilkin, Maddie Dodson, Hayley Liddle and Madyson Tooth were also amongst the try scorers as the Raiders scored seven across the match.

Harold Matthews Cup

After losing their opening match of the season last weekend, the Raiders bounced back with a 20-8 win over the Dragons at Raiders Belconnen.

Siamani Lauluai scored two tries for the Raiders, as the team crossed the line on four occasions.

Issac Petrus scored twice for the Dragons but late tries to Joshua Petrovic and Taulauniuotagoloa Mariota helped the Raiders claim their first win of the season.
