CRRL adds new junior League Tag competitions

The CRRL have introduced three new junior League Tag competitions for the 2020 season.

The new competitions are important additions to the CRRL landscape, giving players the option to play tag instead of tackle.

Mixed under 7’s and mixed under 9’s competitions will be added to the junior pathway. These will be played alongside the existing junior tackle competitions.

This is a great opportunity for young players who may not be ready for the tackle competitions to get involved.

There will also be a new under 15’s girls league tag competition introduced to juniors.

Female participation continues to grow steadily in the game, with the number of junior female players up 28 percent from 2018.

The under 15’s girls competition will be a great pathway for female players wanting to play in the Senior Ladies League Tag competitions.
