Jack Murchie departs Raiders

Canberra Raiders forwards Jack Murchie has departed the club effective immediately, to take up an opportunity with the New Zealand Warriors.

Murchie (Raider #352) has joined the Warriors at their Australian base on the Central Coast.

After farewelling his Raiders teammates earlier this week at the club’s headquarters in Braddon, Murchie took the opportunity to thank the Raiders for an opportunity to play in the NRL.

“The Raiders gave me the chance to make my NRL debut and I’m very thankful for that,” Murchie said. “I’ve been with the club now for a few years and I’m looking forward to a new challenge with the Warriors.

“I’ve also met some lifelong mates here at the club and thank all of the boys for their support.”

Murchie played three NRL matches in his time in Canberra, after making his debut against the Sharks in 2018.

The Raiders would like to take the opportunity to thank Jack for his commitment and dedication to his time in green and wish him all the best for the future.
