Match Day Charity: theDVproject:2650 supporting the Wagga Women's Health Centre

This week's matchday charity partner is theDVproject:2650. The project is designed to help to change entrenched social attitudes of disrespect towards women and girls – disrespect that in many cases leads to violence. 

The proceeds from the 50-50 raffle this week will be donated to the Wagga Women's Health Centre to support the wonderful work they do in the local community. 

50/50 Charity Raffle

The 50-50 Charity Raffle is a not-for-profit fundraising raffle that raises funds for charities, good causes and significant projects. It gives fans and members the chance to win cash prizes while supporting great charitable causes.

Our 50-50 Charity Raffle proceeds in Round 9 will be going to our Game Day Charity, theDVproject:2650. 50-50 Charity Raffle are selling raffle tickets online. 50% of the prize pool will go to one lucky winner and the remaining amount to the Wagga Women's Health Centre.

Viking Clap

This week's Viking Ambassador is Raider #165 Simon Woolford. Woolford is a proud regional player who came to the Raiders from the Riverina region via Young. 

He played 233 matches for the Raiders and was also Captain of the club during his time in green.

Other matches on game day and pre-game entertainment

The action starts early at McDonald's Park on Saturday with the Women's Country Championships final between the Riverina and Newcastle-Maitland Regions. 

This match will be followed by the NSW Cup match between the Raiders and the Knights, so plenty of reasons to get to the game early. 

We'll also have the McDonald's game day performance, with local dance group Triple Threat Riverina set to perform. 

Cam and Ben will also have all the latest team news and information prior to kick-off. 

Half-time entertainment/In-game entertainment

The ever-popular Maccas Powerplay will be in action; if the Raiders score in the allocated five-minute period, attending members and fans will receive 2 for 1 McValue meals at participating ACT, Queanbeyan and Riverina restaurants. Simply show your match day ticket or 2021 membership card to redeem (Terms and Conditions apply). Please note 2021 members who can’t attend are still eligible to receive this promotion.

Mini-Footy this week features local teams Turvey Park, Wagga Kangaroos, Wagga Brothers and Wagga Magpies. 

There will also be the popular Dance Cam at halftime so make sure you're ready to dance! 

Fans Choice Zango SMS Man of the Match

This season, fans at GIO Stadium Canberra will have the opportunity to vote on the man of the match each round thanks to Zango. Keep an eye out on the big screen on match day for details on how you can vote and possibly win a prize.

Denman Prospect supporting Homes for Home Charity

Once again in 2021 Denman Prospect will be proudly supporting the Homes for Homes charity. Each point scored by the Raiders at home games equals a $100 donation!

There will be various food and beverage outlets available on game day around the venue. 

Due to this being a regional fixture there will be no discount for members on food and beverage at this game.

Raiders Shop outlet will be open from gates (10.45am) until the end of half time of the NRL game (approx. 4pm). Located at the North West corner of the venue.

Raiders 2021 members receive a 10% discount on merchandise purchased on game day.

Due to this being a regional fixture and ticketing fully exhausted there will be no access via the Play NRL rewards program for this match.

Parking

Paid parking is in place for this match for a gold coin donation to the Wagga Wagga Rotary Club.

Parking is located via Copland St, and Parson St. Please follow the directions of traffic management staff.

There are no public transport options for this match.
