Canberra Region Wheelchair Rugby League (CRWRL) would like to give a huge thank you to the supporters and sponsors for their support during our first Autumn CRWRL season in 2021.
MPS Travel and Tours have recently come on board to sponsor our wheelchair rugby league competition in the Canberra region, and we sincerely thank them for their support and help to grow our competition. This sponsorship will help secure a custom-made trailer to store our wheelchairs and other equipment needed, and to transport the equipment for gala days, competition matches, representative games and training, schools’ activations, etc.
We would also like to thank the Burrangong Bears Rugby League Football Club, who generously donated last year's playing jerseys to the wheelchair rugby league competition. These jerseys have been well received by our players as the jersey design is ANZAC themed. Thank you Burrangong for being one of our jersey sponsors for the Autumn competition this year – the jerseys looked great and were greatly appreciated.
Similarly, North Canberra Bears Minor Rugby League Football Club also donated a jersey set to the CRWRL competition. It was great to have the White Bears (Burrangong) and the Red Bears (North Canberra Bears) battle it out each week in the competition. Your generosity is very appreciated.
Lastly, we also have two jersey sets from the Gungahlin Bulls Rugby League Football Club, ready to be used when we set up a third and fourth team for next season – your generosity is appreciated.
It great to have our Canberra Region Rugby League (CRRL) clubs involved in the growth of our local wheelchair rugby league competition. Without the support of generous sporting clubs, organisations and businesses we are unable to run our competition to the level we wish to.
CRWRL is on the look out for more sponsors in the coming weeks and months, so we can continue to improve ahead of the spring competition.
CRWRL would also like to thank the volunteers who have helped out during the Autumn Competition.
