Last week Veteran Sport Australia was rebranded to Invictus Australia - continuing the work of Veteran Sport Australia and strengthening the legacy of Invictus around the country.

“𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 will uphold the promise made to the veteran community during the Invictus Games in Sydney 2018 - Invictus is more than just the Games, and the Games will be much more than just a moment in time”.

CRRL has been working with Invictus Australia to support and engage the Veteran community in both our programs of wheelchair rugby league and Battlefields to Footy Fields. Our relationship with Invictus Australia has allowed us to grow the game of wheelchair rugby league in Canberra and its surrounding region, including in Nowra and the Illawarra region.

Harnessing the Power of Sport

Earlier this year, Invictus Australia created a feature story on our Rolling Raiders representative player, Brigid Baker – we thank Invictus Australia for the feature story and media coverage of our all-inclusive, adaptive game. You can watch Brigid's story at this link.

Acknowledgement of Country

Canberra Raiders respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
