The Canberra Raiders will officially launch their season on Saturday March 5, with an online TV Special on www.raiders.com.au
The Raiders are celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2022 and this is a wonderful opportunity for fans to celebrate the past and get excited for the future, as we get set for a season of celebrations.
With the unfortunate cancellation of the planned public event due to COVID, the Raiders will instead invite members and fans to join them for a Live Stream TV Special, featuring interviews with current players, Coach Ricky Stuart and a host of other special guests.
Starting from 6.30pm, the club is encouraging people to sit down and enjoy the live stream, with a full replay of the event available after the stream has finished.
The event will also include the announcement of the latest four inductees into the Canberra Raiders Hall of Fame, with all the inductees interviewed for the event.
Canberra Raiders 2022 Season launch
Canberra Raiders CEO Don Furner said the online event was an opportunity to include more fans at the season launch than ever before and said it was a chance to get a great insight into how season 2022 is shaping up.
“Although we were extremely disappointed to have to cancel our planned public event, we believed it was still very important to give our members and fans the opportunity to join us as we launch our 2022 season,” Furner said. “This event allows everyone to welcome the raiders into their living rooms and we look forward to lots of people tuning in on March 5.”
