Canberra Region Rugby League Chairman, Gary Green, has been elected as one of three regional members to the board of the NSW Community Rugby League.

Gary will join fellow regional directors, Andrew Pull (Woodbridge Cup) and Mark Harrison (Group 18), along with three metropolitan based directors under the Chairmanship of Matt Brady.

Gary is excited to have been elected as a board member and believes that a league the size of Canberra region has a great contribution to make to the further development of community rugby league in NSW and especially the regions.

“Rugby League in the bush is the backbone of our great game and as Canberra is now the fourth largest junior league in NSW, we believe we have a duty to participate fully in the promotion of the game and grow its participation," Green said.

Gary will have his first board meeting next Wednesday when the new NSW Community Rugby League Board will assemble for the first time.
