Terry Campese appointed as head coach of the Men’s Country team

Monaro Colts open men’s head coach Terry Campese has been recently appointed as the coach of the Country Men’s team.

This is an incredible achievement for former Canberra Raider and NSW Blues player to be named to represent the Canberra Region Rugby League at the Country v City match.

“The Country v City matches are a highlight of the NSWRL representative calendar,” NSWRL Head of Football Robert Lowrie said.

“It’s also great to see True Blue Terry Campese appointed to the Country Men’s team, as it continues a proud tradition of former NSW players giving back to the game,” Lowrie added.

Campese played for the NSW Blues in 2009 and last year captained-coached the Monaro Colts to a premiership in the 2021 Men’s Country Championships.

The Campese-led Monaro side are on track to winning back-to-back Country Championships again this year, after winning their two-round fixtures by a combined margin of 80 points.

The Country v City matches will be played in May at a venue to be determined.
