Great news for the Canberra Raiders ahead of their round three home match, with Corey Horsburgh signing a new deal with the club today.
Horsburgh has signed a new two-year deal with the Raiders with an option for a third year which will see him at the club potentially until the end of 2025.
The Raiders forward has had a strong start to the 2022 season and said he was looking forward to continuing his career at the club where he made his NRL debut in 2019.
“The Raiders gave me the opportunity to come down to Canberra and start my NRL career and I’m really happy to have re-signed,” Horsburgh said. “I really enjoy living in Canberra and being part of this team and club and I love running out each week in the green jersey.”
Raiders CEO Don Furner said Horsburgh’s re-signing continued the club’s current retention push and Horsburgh was a strong player who would continue to be a valuable part of the squad moving forward.
“Corey is another example of a young player who came to our club looking for an opportunity and his efforts have been rewarded with another contract here where we know he will continue to develop into an even better player,” Furner said. “Most of the squad has been retained now for at least next season and we see Corey’s re-signing as another show of faith in what we’re continuing to build here at our club.”
