NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Round Five Preview

It's a triple-header in Wagga Wagga this weekend with the Raiders Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup teams both in action before the Raiders v Storm NRL match.

After a slow start to the season, the NSW Cup side will be seeking their third straight win after impressive victories over the Magpies and Sea Eagles in rounds three and four respectively.

The Raiders attack has been particularly strong the last two weeks, scoring 13 tries over two games.

Winger James Schiller scored a double last week, while Xavier Savage picked up his fourth try of the season.

There has been a couple of changes to last week's winning side. Harry Rushton and Albert Hopoate both return to the team, with Rushton starting as prop and Hopoate coming off the bench.

Joshua James has been given the nod at halfback after a impressive first outing last round in which he had two try assists, five tackle breaks and over 100 running metres.

The Raiders take on the Mounties this Saturday, who are currently sitting two points behind on the ladder.

The Mounties won their first match of the season against the Magpies but have lost their last three games against the Rabbitohs, Eels and Bulldogs, so will be looking to turn things around against the Raiders this weekend.
