The Canberra Raiders are inviting fans to be part of a once in a lifetime event, as the club celebrates its 40th Anniversary with a Gala Event in Canberra on Saturday May 7 at Hotel Realm in Canberra.
The 40 Year Anniversary Gala will recognise those who have made significant contributions to the club, both on and off the field, with four personnel being inducted into the Raiders Hall of Fame on the evening.
Special guests for the evening will be announced soon, with several past greats of the club set to feature in the night’s format, which will be hosted by 2GB radio star Ben Fordham.
50% of each ticket sold for the evening will be a voluntary tax-deductible donation to the Raiders Foundation through the Australian Sports Foundation*, with further donation options available on the night.
The Raiders Foundation was established to ensure the club continues to achieve their strategic goals; to perform to their best on the field and to support and deliver programs to the backbone of the club, the local community.
The Foundation’s focus in 2022 is to raise funds for the Raiders’ inaugural NRL Women’s (NRLW) team to enter the competition, as well as to develop a Raiders Academy system in the ACT and regional NSW and to deliver a community-based inclusive program.
