NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Round Six Preview

Both the NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Raiders sides will travel to North Sydney Oval to take on the North Sydney Bears and the Sydney Roosters in round six of their respective competitions this Saturday.

The Raiders NSW Cup side will be looking for their fourth win in a row when they take on the North Sydney Bears.

The Raiders attack has been very dominant having scored 103 points in their last three games, with 30 of those points coming in last week's win over the Mounties.

The leadership of club legend Jarrod Croker has been a massive inclusion ever since he returned to the side in round three. Averaging over ten points a game, the team has not recorded a loss since Croker returned.

Winger James Schiller has also been impressive over the past two games after starting the season in first grade. Schiller has scored three tries since returning to NSW Cup and topped the running metres for the match last week with 162.

The Raiders have made a few changes after last week's win. Sebastian Kris will start as fullback with Matt Frawley given the nod at hooker.

Hudson Young will start in the second row while Harry Rushton, who has been sensational to start the season, moves to lock.

It will be a tough game for the Raiders as the Bears currently sit in second position on the ladder with an undefeated start to the season.

The Bears have a number of dangerous players in the team, including Joseph Suaalii, Drew Hutchinson and Adam Keighran.

Both teams will want to continue building momentum but one of these sides' winning streaks will have to come to an end on Saturday.

The Raiders Jersey Flegg side has recovered from a slow start to the season and will be looking for their third straight win against the top of the table Sydney Roosters on Saturday.

The Raiders earned back to back wins when they defeated the Victorian Thunderbolts 40-30 last week in Wagga Wagga. Fullback Rayden Burns and five-eighth Thomas Casey were both impressive with two tries each.

Sione Vuki has been named in the centres for the green machine with Mitchel Souter starting at hooker and Loghan Lewis returning to the side on the bench.

The Sydney Roosters have suffered just one loss in 2022 and will be looking to earn back to back wins after defeating the Eels 36-14 last week.

The Raiders will be able to make a statement to the rest of the competition if they can be victorious against the competition leaders on Saturday.
