Key Matchups
Joe Tapine vs Payne Haas

Joe Tapine will have to be at his best once again as he goes toe to toe with Payne Haas in what will be a battle between two of the premier props in the competition.
Tapine has gone to a new level this season and stood up against the Roosters last Sunday with Papalii on Origin duty. In the Raiders win last week, Tapine had 209 running metres, three offloads and five tackle breaks in just 57 minutes. Tapine also sits fifth in running metres and has the most out of any forward in the competition this season, establishing himself as one of the best players in the NRL.
Payne Haas has also continued to improve this season and will be wanting to make a statement against Tapine. Haas will be backing up from Origin I but that won't stop the workhorse who is averaging 176 running metres this season. Haas also has 29 tackle breaks, 13 offloads and has made 335 tackles this season while only missing five.
This is set to be one of the battles of the season between two of the best forwards in the competition. There is no doubt that whoever wins this matchup will go a long way in securing their team the win on Saturday night.
Matt Timoko v Herbie Farnworth

Matt Timoko will be eager to jump at the chance of going head-to-head with one of the in form centres so far this season, Herbie Farnworth.
Timoko has established himself as one of the game's future stars after playing some consistent first grade over the past 18 months. Timoko has started every game so far this season and has scored five tries to go along with 40 tackle breaks, proving himself as a lethal attacking threat for the green machine.
Meanwhile, Farnworth has scored eight tries in 11 games so far this season, including 41 tackle breaks and averaging 139 run metres per game.
These two centres will both be wanting to make a statement and it could be a moment of brilliance from either player that decides the game in Brisbane.
Jamal Fogarty v Adam Reynolds

Jamal Fogarty has had a great start to his career at the Raiders and will fancy himself against Adam Reynolds, who has been one of the competition’s best halfbacks over the past decade.
Fogarty has one win in his first two games for the Raiders and has stepped up against two of the premiership heavyweights. Fogarty stood up in the absence of Jack Wighton, leading the Raiders to a win over the Roosters last weekend with 274 kicking metres and 56 running metres.
Reynolds has also enjoyed a fresh start in 2022 as he seems to have only improved since moving to the Broncos. Reynolds has four tries in his nine games so far this season and has helped the Broncos to fourth spot on the ladder after a few disappointing seasons.
Head to Head
Since 1998, the Broncos have won 20 of the 36 matches between the two sides compared to the Raiders 15, with just the one draw. The Raiders have the recent advantage of winning their last three meetings against the Broncos.
