Andrew McFadden to depart Raiders at end of season

Canberra Raiders Assistant Coach Andrew McFadden will depart the club at the end of the 2022 season to take up a role with the New Zealand Warriors as general manager recruitment, development and pathways.

McFadden has been involved with the Raiders in various roles over a number of years including his playing and coaching career, with his recent tenure as assistant coach spanning from 2019 to present.

McFadden said he would always be grateful for the opportunities the Raiders had given him in his career and said he would always have fond memories of his time with the club.

“The Raiders gave me the opportunity to start my career as a player and coach and they’ll always hold a special place for me,” McFadden said. “I truly believe the Raiders are continuing to head in the right direction and I know they’ll be a successful club in the years ahead and I wish them all the best.”

“I look forward to finishing the season here and hopefully seeing the team make it into the finals and beyond.”
