There is one spot remaining in this year's Canberra Raiders Cup grand final as the Rams will battle the Blues, with the winner set to take on the Warriors next Sunday.

Woden Valley Rams vs Queanbeyan Blues, Gungahlin Enclosed Oval, Sunday 11th September 3:00pm.

Last weekend's results in the first week of finals have set up a blockbuster match with a spot in this year's decider on the line.

The West Belconnen Warriors secured their spot in the 2022 grand final with a big win over the Woden Valley Rams last Sunday and will now await the winner of this weekend's preliminary final.

After finishing the season in second place, it was a disappointing result for the Rams after a poor first half performance means they will have to do things the hard way if they are to feature in this year's grand final.

After suffering a sin bin early in the first half, the Rams went into halftime down 40-nil and despite winning the second half, the game was already over.

The Queanbeyan Blues finished the season in fourth, but they once again proved why they have been one of the competition's true contenders all season, with their elimination final win over the Bushrangers last week.

It was a dominant performance from the Blues who secured a 32-14 win, including a double for winger George Morseu, and another great performance from this year's Les McIntyre Medal winner Terry Campese.

Both teams will be coming into this match with different attitudes, as the Rams will be hoping to bounce back quickly and the Blues looking to continue the form they showed last Saturday.

These sides met twice in 2022 and were both able to secure a home victory, with both games being decided by 10 points.

It's going to be one heck of a battle on Sunday as both sides will be looking to advance to the grand final, where the Warriors await.

It has been a fantastic season, especially between the top four sides and there is no doubt that whoever can secure a win in this year's preliminary final, will have every chance of being crowned the 2022 premiers.
