The Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg teams kick off their 2023 campaigns this weekend when they travel to Kellyville to take on the Parramatta Eels.
The NSW Cup side will be looking to start the competition strongly after just missing out on finals last season.
Coach Justin Giteau has named a strong team for the round one clash, with plenty of NRL experience in the side.
Jarrod Croker has been named in the centres alongside Semi Valemei. Brad Schneider will start at halfback with Josh James partnering him in the halves.
Zac Woolford has been given the nod at hooker, directing around a strong forward pack that includes young guns Peter Hola, Josh Allen and Trey Mooney.
Lock Hohepa Puru will play his first NSW Cup game for Canberra after joining the Raiders in the off-season. Puru captained the Panthers Jersey Flegg side that won the competition last year, winning Player of the Match honours in the Grand Final.
The Eels side also features some dangerous players including Jake Arthur, Zac Cini and Haze Dunster.
Parramatta reached the first week of finals last season before going down to the Bulldogs.
Kick off for the match is at 1pm on Saturday 4th March, with the match also live-streamed on NSWRL TV which is available through the NSWRL Facebook page.
