Judiciary: Jack Wighton

Jack Wighton has elected to take the early guilty plea for both charges from the game against the Knights on Sunday.

He will pay a $1,800 fine for the grade 1 careless high tackle and will miss two games for the grade 2 dangerous contact charge. 

EARLIER 

Jack Wighton has been charged twice by the NRL Match Review Committee following yesterday’s match in Newcastle.

Wighton has been charged with a grade 1 careless high tackle on Lachlan Miller. If he accepts the early guilty plea for this charge he will pay a $1800 fine. If he fights the charge and loses, he receives a $2500 fine.

Wighton has also been charged with a grade 2 dangerous contact charge on Jackson Hastings. If he accepts the early guilty plea he faces two weeks suspension. If he fights the charge and loses, he receives 3 weeks suspension.
