Jersey Flegg Round 12 Wrap

The Raiders Jersey Flegg side suffered a 26-10 loss against the Bulldogs on the road over the weekend as they found form too late in the game.

The Green Machine were first to put some points on the board, with second rower Jaxon Lavender crashing over the line in the seventh minute to give the Raiders the upper hand early on with a 4-0 lead.

The Bulldogs were soon to reply as they scored in the 15th minute through winger Montel Lisala. Jonathan Sua missed the conversion to keep the score locked in at 4-all.

The home side took the lead for the first time in the match in the 22nd minute after fullback Cameron Lawrence scored his first try of the day. Sua successfully converted the try to give the Bulldogs a 10-4 advantage.

With momentum on their side, the Bulldogs kept pressuring the Raiders goal line, running in three more unanswered tries through Harry Hayes, Lawrence, and Sua to further their lead to 26-4 inside the final 10 minutes.

The boys in green fought until the final whistle and began to find form late in the game as they scored again in the final minute of the match.

Prop Jake Clydsdale burrowed over the line to score the Raiders second try on the match, with Regan Carr converting to finish the game 26-10.

The Raiders currently sit in fifth spot on the ladder and will be taking on the 11th place Rabbitohs next week at Accor Stadium Sydney.

The Raiders will be looking to mimic their last performance against the Rabbitohs, where they won 22-4 in their round nine clash earlier this season.
