Judiciary: Wighton and Hopoate

Jack Wighton and Albert Hopoate have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following last night’s loss to the Warriors.

Hopoate was charged with a grade one contrary conduct charge from the 10th minute of the match.

As it was Hopoate’s first offence, if he takes the early guilty plea it will be a $1,000 fine. If he fights the charge and is found guilty at the judiciary it will be a $1,500 fine.

Wighton was charged with a grade one careless high tackle on Dallin Watene-Zelezniak from the 30th minute of the match.

If he takes the early guilty plea it will be a $3,000 fine. If he fights the charge and is found guilty at the judiciary he will be suspended for two matches.
